Notes:
What a great job
all of you did! Just a note - my last name is spelled Grannan
(I think Ken already knows that though). Thanks so much for all you ladies did
on this activity. I am going to create a poster of some of these pictures and
have it laminated at work so we can display it at convention. What a great
foundation to lay for our young ladies as they learn the pride of our Nation
and the sacrifice of our brave soldiers. I was honored to be there.....

Subject: DISTRICT 12 JUNIORS @ POST 516 101312 FINI
OMG!!!
What a great time for all of us! The girls made
homemade Veterans Day cards for Patriot House. The theme being, "Service
with a song in our hearts."
Cheryl Estes presided along with Fawn Ellston.
Attendees included Commander Willie Mulkey's granddaughter, Caitlin Mulkey;
District 12 Auxiliary President, Shay Gannon's granddaughter, Kaegan Novick; Auxiliary
President Debbie Dameron's granddaughter, Savannah Ellston and Angelina, representing Post 626.*
The meeting opened with the posting of the
colors and the Pledge of Alligiance.
The Juniors were
reminded that as members of the Auxiliary our
Refreshments included Pepperoni and Cheese
pizzas, Coke, Dr. Pepper and 7-Up. Cupcakes decorated with sour gummy worms
were baked by Shelley Mulkey.
At last count I think the Juniors
had made 50+ cards. The goal is to make 75 cards. I think Mrs. Estes intends to
schedule another meeting for the Juniors prior to the
Veterans Day parade at the Benbrook Post.
